Some of Earl’s more notable projects include: the American Fork, Lehi, Cottonwood, and Manti High Schools, the Navajo Community College in Arizona, the dormitories at Montana State University in Bozeman Montana, the Catholic School in Helena Montana, the restoration of the Carson City Nevada State Capitol Building, restoration of the Grant Humphrey Mansion in Denver Colorado, the Washington Temple, the Capitol Theater renovation, the Hotel Utah wing additions, and the Logan Temple Annex just to name a few.
Though Earl’s legacy in masonry is impressive, the legacy he’s most proud of is that of his family. Together, with his wife, Lois, they boast 18 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren.
Recently, Earl was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Utah Masonry Council’s 2005 Excellence Awards. Earl laid the foundation and set the standard for what the company, Child Enterprises, has become today. |
